Instructions:
Choose either the embargo or exemption option below and fill in the appropriate information on the form. Submit this request after uploading your completed thesis to Scholarship@Claremont. Embargoed theses become visible on Scholarship@Claremont at a later date. Exempted theses are removed from the Scholarship@Claremont system and stored in student’s academic files at the Office of the Registrar.

Select one of the following options: Embargo - Students request an embargo when they wish to delay posting their thesis on Scholarship@Claremont. Embargos are generally for theses pending publication, pending patents, or containing work that is based on current faculty research that will conclude within 2 years. Titles and abstracts are indexed and searchable on the web (Google Scholar) prior to publication. Exemption - Students requesting an exemption will have their thesis removed from the Library’s repository. CMC will retain a copy of the thesis in the student’s records. CMC recommends exemptions for theses that contain controversial or confidential content.
